Sheridan Maine Finance is recruiting a Purchase Ledger Clerk role for a client based in Winchester. Due to business demand, our client requires extra help in their finance team.

Our client, an innovative and forward thinking business with a turnover of £6m in Winchester are a specialist in their field, boasting an impressive client list and lucrative contracts with local brands.

As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will report directly to the Finance Director.

Duties include:

- Processing purchase ledger invoices on Sage Line 50.
- Preparing payment runs for approval.
- Inputting of CHAPS and BACS payments online.
- Bank reconciliation.
- Filing.
- Petty cash.
- Liaising with suppliers on a daily basis, assisting with queries.
- Liaising with utility companies, negotiating rates.
- Ad hoc admin where appropriate.

The successful applicant will have the following attributes:

- Proven experience in a Purchase Ledger Clerk role essential.
- Working knowledge of Sage Line 50 advantageous.
- Confident telephone manner.
