Senior Estimator - Up to £75K - Farnborough

I am recruiting for a fantastic opening within a new satellite office for one of the nation's biggest contractors. They are looking to take on a dynamic individual who can present and negotiate in front of their customers and their consultants and are able to control costs throughout the process and deliver healthy margins to the business.

Main Responsibilities:

The vast majority of their tenders are negotiated or 2 stage and their Estimators lead the financial element of the 2nd stage from initial cost plans through to the agreement of the contract sum.
* To provide estimated costs of proposed projects and survey/cost completed works.
* To prepare detailed forward plans of work commitments and appropriate labour requirements.
* To liaise with departmental staff, client departments, contractors, suppliers and statutory authorities in matters relating to work as appropriate.
* To monitor and control the day-to-day finance of all estimated contracts, up to and including production of final accounts
* To order and ensure that materials, equipment and plant detailed in specifications and drawings for construction or improvement work are ordered in accordance with CBS tendering procedures.
* To attend meetings, seminars, training workshops and other work related issues, as required, which may involve working outside normal hours.
* To check and authorise orders and invoices ensuring that agreed financial regulations and procedures are followed
* To represent the department at meetings as required.
* To attend divisional management meetings, preparing and presenting reports as necessary.
* To action matters arising in the absence of the department manager(s)
* To undertake specific projects and prepare reports for department managers as required.
* To adhere to existing working practices, methods, procedures, undertake relevant training and to respond positively to new and alternative systems.

You must be degree qualified, HNC, HND, and BSc and carry 5 years minimum experience.
