IT Procurement Manager

Location: High Wycombe

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + £7,800 car allowance and excellent benefits

Our client is embarking on a digital transformation program to drive the best digital brand and customer experience. This position will play a key part in driving improvements and continuous innovation growing their IT supplier relationships and preparing projects.

The IT Procurement Manager will be at the forefront of existing and future supplier partnerships. Their remit is European and will cross all technology sectors; hardware, software and services, and they will follow a best in class approach to category management with an entrepreneurial approach to working with and influencing stakeholders.

You will maxime value from 3rd Party IT partners, developing and managing key categories within the IT portfolio ensuring supplier service delivery and leading new supplier engagements with technical support on the RFI/RFP/RFQ processes.

Principal responsibilities:

• Ownership of IT portfolios with focus on continuous improvement & development of long term category strategies

• Collate and analyse data for decision-making and develop long term relationships

• Spend analysis with clear focus on total cost of ownership, quality & service

• Responsible for stakeholder buy-in up to Board level

• Continuous supplier improvement process, leading quarterly reviews with clear targets and KPIs

• Standardised service delivery and data across partners and collate performance data and MI reporting

• Collaborate at a regional and global level on opportunities to leverage scale

• Continuous monitoring of wider market trends to index and innovate a commercial advantage

• Working with supply chain team to drive efficiencies

Qualifications, skills and knowledge:

• Graduate, or graduate calibre (IT preferred)

• Category Management expertise (CIPS qualification desirable)

• 5+ years of proven experience in procurement management

• A strong commercial and numerical aptitude

• Strong supplier performance management experience

• Expert stakeholder manager

• Excellent communicator with strong written and presentation skills

• Strong organisational skills and experience working within projects

• Able to prioritise effectively and meet demanding deadlines

• Proven track-record of working cross-functionally and cross culturally

• Speaking additional European Languages as well as English is an advantage
