Our client a beautiful food led pub on the outskirts of Guildford, Surrey are currently looking to recruit their Deputy Manager.

The pub is part of an award winning pub group and all of their pubs are featured in the Good Pub Guide and for them it's all about serving fresh, simple, high quality traditional dishes extremely well. The menu has a spine of freshly prepared, classic British dishes, complemented by more exotic influences from other parts of the world: in other words, modern British cookery. Their passion lies in finding quality ingredients and preparing, cooking and presenting them in a modern but unpretentious way.

They are now looking for an experienced Deputy Manager to help strengthen the management crew and to lead the business on this next stage of the journey.

As a Deputy Manager you are a key member of the pub management team and will be expected to support the manager as the 'right hand' person in all aspects of sharing responsibility for the day to day running of the pub. The role is very hands-on and extremely varied encompassing people management, food and drink, customer service, pub maintenance and day to day financial administration. You will also assume responsibility for the pub when the manager is not on the premises with the help of the rest of the management team.

As a Deputy Manager helping to run one of our pubs is a multi-facetted career: you'll need to be a real foodie; have a real passion for decent beer and wine; enjoy looking after others and help build and direct a happy crew. We're looking for a fun character who will set the bar high and have a real eye for detail.

In return you will be rewarded with a salary package from £24,000 - £27,000 and you'll be part of a successful, growing company who have been awarded Pub Group of the Year on five occasions.
