We have a great opportunity for a community fundraiser; we are a trusted partner of Prospect Hospice, recruiting for their office based in Swindon. This exciting and rewarding role is a fixed term contract, ending in February 2018, paying £19- £23K per annum, based on experience.

You would be working core hours Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, with flexibility to attend fundraising and local events (receiving time back in lieu), working 37.5 hours.

This role is a great opportunity for the right person to start a career in fundraising or for an experienced fundraiser to join a vibrant and dedicated fundraising team. This well respected charity’s target is to raise more than £7 million per year and rely on a committed community fundraiser to work with the local community to help in their fundraising efforts, build strong relationships with the community and take responsibility for growing & identifying revenue streams.

The Hospice is dependent on voluntary fundraising for the majority of its income. This role is a key contributor to this income stream through the organisation and delivery of Prospect’s programme of community fundraising activities.

The type of activities you will be involved with are:
-Initiating and researching ideas for new activities and community events
-Scheduling and supervising Fundraising volunteers, in line with agreed admin/clerical activities and at events
-Providing guidance and support to individuals, groups or organisations within the community who wish to raise funds for the Hospice
-Providing as much assistance as practicably possible for external activities held on behalf of the Hospice.

To be successful in this wonderful role you will be enthusiastic and creative, with an organised and driven approach. You will also be confident in speaking to a wide range of audiences; encouraging them to engage, get involved and become passionate about their activities, and about the Hospice.

This is a fixed term contract for 10 months. Please note you will need transport to be able to travel to different events and go out to the local community.
