About this role

This is a hands-on operational management role in the Legal Services Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a large team of case officers, with responsibility for progressing Fitness to Practise case to their final conclusion and monitoring any substantive orders.

The successful candidate will have a key role in compliance checks, quality control and other agreed tasks and will be required to develop and implement strategies and initiatives to improve efficiency. You will ensure your team delivers high quality and efficient customer service that supports the work of the wider Legal Services Team. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of a high standard of quality and customer care, ensuring team members meet deadlines and perform to customer service and quality standards within operational standards, performance measures and relevant legislation.

About you

The ideal candidate will have the ability to provide a high level of customer care, multi-task and prioritise a high workload is crucial, as is good IT literacy. You will need to develop and set targets and monitor staff performance against them, whilst developing staff into the role. Therefore previous line management or supervisory experience is essential. You will be educated to degree level or have substantial relevant experience and will have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
