Sheridan Maine Finance is recruiting a Receptionist/Finance Assistant role for a client based in Southampton. This role is being recruited permanently and offers an immediate start date.

Our client is a successful manufacturing business with an impressive order book.

As a Receptionist/Finance Assistant, you will report directly to the Finance Manager.

Duties include:

- First point of contact for clients and other visitors.
- Monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness.
- Answer incoming calls (main switchboard) and screen/direct as appropriate.
- Receive and sort incoming post and deliveries.
- Provide general administrative support (e.g. prepare correspondence and documents) as required.
- Control 'inventory' relevant to the reception area.
- File purchase orders.
- Collect and match delivery notes against purchase orders.
- Match Invoices against delivery notes/PO's.
- Collate invoices for other locations, list and send. Update control sheet.
- File stock issues when available.
- Issue posted invoices to purchasers for approval, update control sheet.
- Remove hold tag for approved invoices when returned from purchasers.
- Timesheet entry.
- Any other duties required by Finance team to ensure smooth operation of the department.

The successful applicant will have the following attributes:-

- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Experience in finance advantageous.
- Confident telephone manner.
- High level of customer service.
- Well presented, smart appearance.
