Payroll & Reward Advisor £35k to £40k + Bens, Cambridge

Leading organisation based in Cambridge seek an experienced Payroll & Reward Advisor (Payroll & Benefits Advisor) to work for their highly respected team.

Reporting into the Payroll & Reward Manager this role is based in state of the art offices and looking after a UK and growing Dutch payroll.

This role requires an overall understanding of Payroll & Reward/Benefits services provided.


  • Overall responsibility for the output of the monthly payrolls

  • To peer review and sign off work carried out by the Reward Co-ordinators and Reward Assistants in particular: Month End Outputs and Balance Sheet Accounts for Quarterly Submission

  • Carry out monthly trouble shooting on payroll related issues

  • Reporting any trends, anomalies, final errors to the Payroll & Reward Manager

  • Provide advice and guidance to the business

  • Ensure compliance with HMRC

  • Co-ordinate and drive Year End Reporting

  • Co-ordinate and organise Payroll Audit activities

  • Support the day to day operation of Payroll and Benefits, working with third party benefits suppliers

  • Ensure that all records are maintained

  • Provide support to HR in respect of all relocations and liaise with the Payroll & Reward Manager

The Person:

  • Someone with strong Payroll & Benefits knowledge

  • Ideally someone with Northgate experience

  • Someone that can work with and develop junior members of staff

  • someone that can work to strict deadlines

  • A team player

  • Someone with strong communication skills across all levels of business

  • Someone who wants to drive the Payroll & Benefits offering and take ownership
