Commercial Marketing & Communications Lead

Location: Luton Airport

Salary: £37,000 per annum

Contract: Permanent:

Hours: Monday to Friday (Office Hours)

For every one week in five, you will be required to be on call with the 24/7 press office phone.

Job summary:

To maximise opportunities and commercial performance from airline, retail, and catering partners through an integrated marketing approach of research, promotion, experience and communication.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

1. To devise and implement a retail (including the organizations owned products) and catering marketing and promotions programme that quantifiably improves sales and satisfaction

2. To manage, administer and monitor dedicated route development funds and joint marketing plans to retain and support airline development

3. To develop, lead and deliver on and off-site experiential activations for airlines and commercial partners which enhance the passenger experience and change perceptions

4. To co-ordinate and manage a research and development programme which embeds a culture of best practice and learning that drives performance improvements with business partners

5. To oversee relevant budgets to ensure that spending and income is within defined financial plans and targets resources to achieve business priorities

6. To review and monitor performance against annual objectives and participate in planning future targets that deliver against the business plan

7. To provide support to all communication functions both on and off line to improve positive coverage and protect the airport's reputation

Secondary tasks:

24/7 first response crisis comms team member

24/7 on call media handling

Weekly and monthly monitoring and reporting

A successful candidate for this role will have:

Proven experience in a marketing and communications role
