General Manager - Dumfries and Galloway

A rare opportunity has arisen for a standards driven, commercially aware, experienced General Manager with strong leadership and mentoring skills are required for this individual and unique hotel.

With 70 bedrooms and banqueting up to 150 persons this is a hotel with great potential. The General manager will be seen as the face of the business driving sales and seeking out new opportunities as well as leading and coaching the team to deliver the highest standards

Job Description

  • Full day to day operational and financial responsibility for the hotel
  • Recruitment, selection and training of the management team
  • Setting and implementing service standards in the hotel
  • Driving sales and seeking new opportunities
  • Profit delivery and cost control

Required Experience

  • Previous a General Manager or Operations Manager in a larger property looking got that next step
  • P&L responsibility
  • A proven track record in improving service standards and successfully implementing new procedures

Salary and Benefits

The starting salary for this role is £30,000 - £35,000. A bonuses can be achieved on an annual basis. And a live in cottage with two beds is on offer in addition
