The Role:

The primary role will be to assist the Transport Supervisor in the day to day running of the Transport Department. Duties will include:

  • Staff Management
  • Resource Planning
  • Tachograph Analysis and Regulation
  • Departmental Administration
  • PDA/Transend monitor and Control
  • Cost control and monitoring

Please note that during busy periods there may also be a requirement to undertake deliveries from time to time and any other associated duties within the department.

The Applicant:

The successful applicant will ideally hold a class C (LGV2) and have a previous background in Transport. You will be customer focused with good levels of numeracy and literacy and possess working experience in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. You will be a diplomatic, courteous and efficient communicator who can establish and develop a successful working relationship with your staff. In addition you must be responsible, reliable, professional and conscientious, with high attention to detail, be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team within the Transport Department.

Due to the nature of our business and the responsibility of this position, commitment, consistency and a flexible approach to working hours will be necessary as the successful applicant will be required to work any 5 out of 7 days.
