Axon Moore are working in exclusive partnership with our client, a highly successful Skipton based business, to recruit a Financial Controller.

The role will see you work very closely with the Finance Director and a Senior Finance Manager to drive business performance in what is currently a very interesting time for the business.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the finance function and its ongoing development. Key duties will involve:

- Monthly reporting and analysis, including consolidation of results from other sites
- Working closely with colleagues to maintain a rigorous framework of internal financial controls and monthly balance sheet reviews
- To drive process and systems improvements, becoming the on-site finance SME for their ERP system
- Management of the transactional finance team
- Cash-flow monitoring and forecasting
- Assistance with operational and commercial analysis to help drive the business towards its strategic objectives
- Key contact for the auditors across year-end and the half-year

In addition to the regular monthly timetable this role will offer great scope to get involved with helping the business make a variety of procedural, systems, operational and commercial improvements. The business is successful and profitable, but more can be done to drive improved bottom-line performance and the Financial Controller will be a critical component of this.

It is essential that:

- You are fully qualified - ACA, ACCA or CIMA
- You have experience of a business control position and strong experience of reporting on KPI’s
- You have staff management / development experience
- You are someone with a keen interest in systems and the value they can bring – prior exposure to a large ERP system such as SAP or Oracle would suit best
- You are a confident and enthusiastic management accountant with the ability to work well both with your team and the broader business
- You are a confident communicator – this isn’t a role where you’ll be sat behind a computer screen all day!

The business is undergoing a number of changes at present. Success in this role will likely lead to further prospects within the business.

The role will pay a salary of £42-50,000 (dependent on experience) plus benefits.
