Our Shropshire based client is a privately owned practice with several offices across the region and a reputation for quality Due to restructuring internally, along with recent growth, they now require an ACCA/ACA Qualified Accountant within superb technical ability and a strong audit background to join their successful team. This Audit & Accounts Manager job in Oswestry would present an ideal role for someone who has client facing experience and would like the challenge of managing a team whilst being involved in the development of the wider practice strategy.

This independent Shropshire located accountancy firm has a team of experienced and qualified accountants providing services for Limited companies, Partnerships, LLP's and Charities across a number of business sectors. The Senior Client Manager position (70:30 in favour of audit) would suit someone with 5 or more years' practice experience looking to progress their career to the next level. The Manager will be a conduit between the Client Managers and the Partners, thus being involved in overall work flow control, training & development whilst still being heavily involved with overseeing Client relationships.
This is a challenging but rewarding role, affording excellent opportunities for progression to Partner level.

The main responsibilities of this role will be;

- Managing the audit team and the audit process from inception to completion, ensuring the team are mobilised and prepared to perform audits to the highest standard
- Overseeing a client portfolio including clients with turnover of up to £100m in sectors such as transport and distribution, IT, manufacturing, leisure, medical and automotive
- Reviewing of audit files to ensure compliance with firms audit methodology
- Presentation of audit findings to partners focusing on key areas
- Exposure to business development, including scoping bids, presenting bids during the tender process and working closely with the marketing department
- Mentoring staff including setting goals and objective, providing one to one feedback
- Presenting accounts at board meetings
- Attending networking events to develop connections within the profession

The perfect Audit & Accounts Manager will be ACCA/ACA qualified with a minimum of 5 years' experience. Technically strong, you will have audit & accounts experience gained within a practice environment, coupled with excellent communication skills and a methodical approach to planning. The ideal Audit & Accounts Manager will be confident in all aspects of the audit process (from planning to completion) working with business entities with turnovers to £50m.
