We currently require a Retail & Distribution Key Account Manager for our client Sony Mobile to manage a selection of high profile retailers/resellers.

Experience required

Knowledge in the following areas of the Mobile Business

• Distribution
• Retail
• Etail
• B2B/ Enterprise


• To work with the Sony Mobile R & D team on all business aspects
• To manage a selection of indirect customers who buy via Distribution. Amazon, Argos, Shop Direct, John Lewis, Brighthouse and others
• To work within the R & D channel and meet all financial targets set. Margin/Net sales/Volume/Activations
• To gain a thorough understanding of all aspect of SELL IN to UK distribution partners for all Sony Mobile products
• To gain a thorough understanding of all Sony Mobile marketing plans and brand guidelines and be a brand ambassador when talking to resellers
• To work with distribution partners on SELL OUT of all Sony lines into selected resellers
• To work with selected resellers on Sell THROUGH to consumers
• To manage all aspects of marketing and investment with selected resellers
- Monthly/quarterly/annual rebate
- Promotional activity
- Bundles
- Marketing support
- CRM activity

• To reconcile all financials each quarter from SELL IN via distribution and SELL THROUGH via resellers to obtain authorisation to make payments

• To provide detailed reseller financial updates on all commercial aspects of their business
- Overall mobile volume
- Overall mobile value
- Sony Share % + £ value + volume

• To present Sony Roadmaps for all Xperia and accessory lines with selected resellers
• To seek out any new opportunities with resellers

• To work with Sony channel agencies on implementing all marketing aspects into the channel
- Fixture support
- Online + Banners

• To work with Infinites BDE team on the following aspects
- Training
- Incentives
- Promotional activity

• To attend all Sony Mobile R & D team meeting and provide insight and data from the previous week

• To attend Sony Mobile Head Office as necessary - on Monday’s as a minimum

• To attend all of Sony Mobile Kick off events and MU functions

• To provide samples and technical support


• Reports into the Head of Retail & Distribution
• All agreed support for selected resellers is agreed by channel manager/marketing manager initially then communicated into the reseller by the account manager
• Bonus is paid out on the same SIP plan operated by Sony Mobile, based on % achievement v’s salary


£40,000 - £45,000 plus company car, fuel card & bonus
