Job Title: Travel Sales and Account Manager

Salary: £16,500 + Commission and Bonus

Location: Blackpool

We are looking for individuals who have experience in Sales and Account Management. It requires a passion for travel, a desire for travel related sales. And the ability to provide a high level of customer service to existing client accounts and new client sales. Delivering lengthy knowledgeable calls, building relationships and having a keen attention to details.

Job Purpose:

  • Support the effective achievement of the company through the conversion of leads from a defined sales area and developing booking opportunities through client contact
  • Ensure the profitability of the company through the accurate selling and costing of Products and services
  • Ensure the effective retention (account management) of clients by working closely with Sales, Operations, Team colleagues and support departments to deliver excellent customer service and meet client expectations
  • Ensure the effective planning and prioritising of client contact to ensure all potential clients are contacted at the right time with the right information to secure their business
  • Maintain a consistent level of quantity and quality of calls to existing and new clients
  • Build a strong rapport with clients to develop long term customer relationships (account management)
  • Develop and maintain effective Quote/Provisional Booking to Booking conversion rate to ensure achievement of booking targets, matching Client needs to Products and Services
  • Consistently apply effective sales and customer service skills and brand knowledge to secure business against competitors

You will also be required to:

  • Consistently achieve personal booking targets and contribute to team booking targets
  • Proactively research and source business opportunities through outbound calling, however these calls are measured by quality. Being knowledgeable and taking your time on the call to build a relationships, as this is not a quick sales environment (Training provided)
  • Proactively seek multi booking and business opportunities from all client contact
  • Ensure the effective capture and sharing of client and competitor information to develop market awareness
  • Provide support to colleagues by sharing sales and customer service skills / techniques and Product knowledge
  • Maintain and awareness of team workloads providing support to colleagues where required

Tour Opportunities to maintain:

  • Maintain Tour profit margins through effective negotiation and communication with clients
  • Generate accurate ad hoc pricing and tailor made quotes to meet client needs
  • Liaise effectively with relevant support departments to maintain an awareness of accurate up to date information on product and pricing (accommodation, transport, flights, visits etc)
  • Make effective use of internal CRM and Reservations systems to deliver accurate information to clients and colleagues at all stages of the Sales Process
  • Ensure regular communication to clients throughout the Sales Process to manage client and company expectations (Tour Option availability, Booking Conditions, Payment Terms, etc)
  • Ensure an effective handover of client requirements to the Operations Team to minimise sales related issues at the Tour Coordination stage


  • Participate in any training activities or projects to support the achievement of business aims and objectives. Building a solid understanding of the company's product range, sales process and Customer experience.
  • Initial and ongoing training provided.
