Robertson Bell Finance are pleased to be working with a Leading Not for Profit Group based near Newbury, Berkshire who are looking to recruit an exceptional Head of Financial Planning and Analysis to lead the Group reporting function. This large Not for Profit Group have a turnover in excess of £200m and are looking to grow further within the coming years. Additionally, while the organisation is charitable by nature, it is very commercially run.

The background is as follows: This Group has recently gone through a considerable transformation project, hence you will have full autonomy to shape the Group reporting function and truly make it your own. It is therefore an exciting time and plenty of interesting and CV enhancing work to be done.

The Head of Financial Planning and Analysis is very much a business facing finance role. Responsibilities will include; lead, coach and manage a team of circa 20, mainly consisting of qualified Finance Business Partners and Financial Analysis. In addition, you will be the person who drives the decision support function and leads on the service culture when dealing with operational business units. The successful candidate therefore will not be stuck in a back room with their head in spread sheets. You will be leading on; strategic decision making, management information, lead on the production and analysis of the annual budget, coordinate the analysis of variances and attend board meetings.

You must be working for a successful company in a role that has allowed you to pick up the requisite amount of experience to enable you to succeed in this role, demonstrating achievements of going above and beyond business as usual will be key. As previously stated, how you communicate finance to a non-financial audience is key, as is having previous staff management. You will be fully qualified and have the ability to build rapport in a warm and engaging, approachable but challenging manner. Candidates from all sectors are highly welcomed. Please note that one of the key points of this opportunity, unlike some others, is that the work-life balance is very strong and you will not be required to work more than the standard amount of hours on regular basis.
