Reed Engineering and Manufacturing are working with a leading company in the Leeds area.

Role Description

- Establish, implement and maintain the company’s quality procedures, standards and specifications.
- Ensure that all products are fit for purpose and meet both internal and external requirements, including legal compliance and customer quality requirements. 
- Manage/develop QA department personnel

Key Accountability

- Maintenance of ISO9001:2008 registration
- Liaise with customers on all quality/legal compliance related matters
- Hands on input into the testing, design and performance of our product range
- Responsible for the day to day management of QA technicians/support staff
- Define quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff
- Set up and maintain controls and documentation procedures
- Ensure efficient operation of product returns department, seeking to improve procedures wherever possible
- Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports
- Liaise with external assessment body on all matters relating to the external accreditation process
- Hands on input into the testing, design and performance of the product range
- Organise / oversee product sampling/testing process ensuring detailed reports are distributed in timely manner

Key Competencies

- Experience of working in a Quality Assurance role
- Strong interpersonal and technical skills
- Ideally electrical and electronic or automotive experience
- Educated to HND/degree level
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
