Intermediate Quantity Surveyor - Decent Homes

West London

£30k - £42k + Car / Allowance + Benefits

My client is an award winning contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering projects on time, on budget and safely. They are currently seeking to recruit a Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to work within their very successful Decent Homes Department covering West London and surrounding.

The successful candidate will be responsible for full range of quantity surveying duties including day to day cost control, subcontractor management, risk management, financial reporting, preparation of valuations, recording and valuing of variations and general site surveying administration.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills/attributes:

  • Be a competent negotiator who is able to agree rates / prices and sub-contracts without compromising company margins
  • Demonstrate a high level of technical competence combined with commercial awareness and understanding
  • Planning, programming and prioritising skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Flexible approach to work with ability to work on own.
  • Good team player.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Competent in Microsoft office skills.
  • Previous Decent Homes/Planned Maintenance experience
  • Full driving License.

The ideal candidate Must come from a Social Housing background and must have a Degree or HND/HNC in Quantity Surveying.
