As part of my clients ongoing growth strategy, a key role has arisen for an Area Sales Manager to take on the responsibility of sales in the North of England, strengthening their market leading position.

Responsibilities:

- Develop new business opportunities by identifying potential new customers and presenting new business proposals

- Effectively and efficiently manage your activities across a large geographic area and achieve agreed objectives. Prepare and action local/regional business plans; reporting on market conditions, trends and competitor activity

- Develop a good understanding of the procurement processes utilised by customers and potential customers

Profile

With a proven track record in capital equipment sales, you will combine good commercial awareness with the ability to negotiate, close and secure orders in a competitive and demanding sales environment. A team player with outstanding interpersonal skills, you will possess the ability to build excellent, productive relationships with customers, colleagues and our service partners.

This is a home-based role, requiring you to be self-motivated and disciplined, with the necessary drive and initiative to get the job done. You must be structured, well organised and resilient with the strength of character to maintain a 'can-do' attitude in what is a demanding and very competitive marketplace. Good I.T. skills are essential.

The location of your home base is of relevance, in order to more easily facilitate the effective management of this large geographical region. Consideration will be given to all suitable candidates, however those based in proximity to Leeds, Sheffield, Newcastle, North East or West/North Yorkshire would be of particular interest. We require a confident driver (preferably with previous towing experience) with a full UK driving license. Please note: you MUST have an area to safely and securely store the trailer and TMF.

Having experience in within the agricultural sector is a must.

Job Offer

Competitive basic salary + Commission structure, based on units sold; company car - fully expensed 4x4 vehicle with trailer (to tow demonstration units); contributory pension scheme (with 5% company contribution) & life assurance
