About the role
This is an important role within the community fundraising team. You will be responsible for ensuring delivery of targets for maximising income generation, which include fundraising volunteer recruitment and identification of other important opportunities such as major giving. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and with good motivational skills, they will also be responsible for managing staff, ensuring effective fundraising processes and supporting the development of our fundraising volunteer network.

The British Red Cross helps millions of people in the UK and around the world to prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies, disasters and conflicts.
Our volunteers and staff help people in crisis to live independently by providing support at home, mobility aids and transport. We also teach first aid skills.

About the team
All over the UK, the community fundraising team (both staff and thousands of fundraising volunteers) raise funds to ensure that the British Red Cross is there to help people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are. We are part of a global voluntary network, responding to conflicts, natural disasters and individual emergencies.
About the person
You'll have experience of managing a team and of recognising the strengths of each individual, ensuring individual potential for growth is maximised and targets are delivered. You'll be experienced in line management, support and supervision and be confident in filling any team gaps by delivering on fundraising projects yourself.

Experience of monitoring plans and budgets, including financial forecasting and use of fundraising databases, along with excellent numeracy and literacy skills are essential.
