Banner is recruiting for an outgoing, enthusiastic, self-motivated Business Development Manager, covering the Furniture account across the M62 Corridor region. The successful individual will contribute to the growth of Banner through the development of furniture sales revenue and gross profit with new and existing customers. The role has a basic salary around £40,000 plus commission and a car, as well as other great benefits including a generous holiday scheme.

We are looking for a self starter, with a 'can do’ attitude to achieve set furniture targets, look for and deliver contracted/tender opportunities for the category and work with marketing to create and execute winning sales drives. You will also accompany the field sales team on calls where there is a furniture opportunity, manage appropriate staff training to ensure maximum sales opportunities and troubleshoot and solving furniture related customer concerns ensuring complete satisfaction.

The successful candidate will have a sound sales track record, experience selling furniture to customers face to face and hold excellent presentation skills. An excellent knowledge of MS packages, especially Excel, Word and Powerpoint is essential, as are great organisational and time management skills, the ability to work closely with other departments and a desire to learn about our products, systems and customers, excelling in all you do.
