My client, a provider of Social Housing, requires a Planned Maintenance Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering investment projects and programmes in relation to planned maintenance, improvements and refurbishments, covering a patch ranging from Gloucestershire to Warwickshire.

Responsibilities:
  • Management of budgets in relation to specific programmes of works
  • Lead and direct project teams
  • Liaise with external contractors
  • Create appropriate contract specifications and schedules of works
  • Prepare tender and contract documentation in accordance with approved programmes
  • Identify suitable contractors to be invited to tender
  • Evaluate tenders to ensure value for money
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of works
  • Assist in the creation of budgets
  • Ensure that works carried out are in accordance with the contractors Health and Safety proposals, legislation and codes of practice.
  • Ensure contractor’s quality of work meets the specified standard

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will be educated to HNC level or equivalent, and have significant experience in the Social Housing or construction industry.

You must have good management skills and have experience of leading project teams and liaising with external contractors.

The ideal candidate will be able to show evidence of managing budgets and ensuring works were completed on time.
