Responsibilities:

- Identify, develop and establish quality global and regional suppliers for commodities, including castings, controls, valves, machined components, pumps, finished parts and composites.
- Establish, distribute and maintain a preferred supplier list.
- Manage and direct global procurement and planning activities using a valid process to select suppliers.
- Design implement and revise, when needed, supply chains that support business strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities or cost reduction strategies.

Key Deliverables:

- Reduce material spend.
- Improve supplier performance.

In order to ensure our client's reputation as a world leading quality manufacturer, we have been given a specific set of criteria to recruit to. With that in mind there are certain things that we will need to see on your CV to be considered:

- Degree in business, materials management, operations management or related field.
- Experience, in a global operating environment, leading logistics, supply chain or commodity management, inventory control and scheduling operations, preferably for medium volume engineered products/systems.
- Working knowledge of all laws and regulations related to procurement and contracts.
- Knowledge of purchasing and supply chain systems.
