Robertson Bell Finance are pleased to be working with a large, £300m turnover flagship Group based near Bournemouth are looking for a Head of Group Reporting. This is a senior position, in fact it is the 2nd most senior finance role in the company and will report into the Director of Finance.

The background is as follows: This Company has recently gone through a considerable transformation project in order to build on growth, hence you will have full autonomy to shape the Group reporting function and truly make it your own. It is therefore an exciting time and plenty of interesting and CV enhancing work to be done.

The Head of Group Reporting is very much a business facing, strategic finance role. Key points: You will be managing, coaching and supervising a team of up to 20 staff across management accounting, financial analysis and reporting as well as overseeing the financial accounting team. In addition, you will be the person who drives the decision support function and leads on the service culture when dealing with operational business units. Finance is very much viewed as a service and not just a processing function and your natural instincts must support this belief. The successful candidate therefore will not be stuck in a back room with their head in spread sheets. You will be leading on; strategic decision making, management information, lead on the production and analysis of the annual budget, coordinate the analysis of variances and attending board meetings, whilst providing effective leadership to the reporting team; support the business growth and make commercial decisions by providing a high quality business partnering service.

You must be working for a successful company in a role that has allowed you to pick up the requisite amount of experience to enable you to succeed in this role, demonstrating achievements of going above and beyond business as usual is key. You will have the ability to communicate effectively and influence the decision making process, having a proven track record of leading a team in a changing environment.
