Project Estimator for a specialist electronics manufacturing business
Your new company are a large and specialist electronics manufacturing business who are looking to hire a Project Estimator who has a buying background of electro-mechanical components. The business have a number of specialist divisions focussing on mass manufacturing, supply chain, R&D and capital. They are a leading electronics manufacturer who service a wide portfolio of industry sectors which includes defence, aerospace, automotive and further.
Your new role will work with the material quoting team and will provide key support in managing and analysing all RFQ's for materials against any existing or new project. Your role will be responsible for supplier material pricing to obtain best possible quotations to meet the needs of a whole project. During the life of a project you will manage supplier performance reports and will liaise with internal customers to keep them informed of supply progress.
You will be responsible for assessing drawings for best placed RFQ's and will provide regular overall pricing and performance progress updates to management.
What you'll need to succeed in this role is previous experience working in a buying role where you have been responsible for buying electro-mechanical components and monitoring supplier performance. You will have high proficiency with Excel and will demonstrate the capabilities required to work in a fast paced environment that has demanding dead lines. You will demonstrate the ability to prioritise your own work load to achieve tight dead lines.
This role will best suit an experienced buyer with relative experience who is looking to progress into a project estimating role or will suit an individual with current experience in project material price estimating within a electro-mechanical components environment.
