Care Co-Ordinator - Nursing Agency -
We have a permanent full time care co-ordinator role at a nursing agency in Bristol.
This would be an admin and compliance role based within the offices of the agency.
Candidates should hold NVQ3 Health & Social care.
£18,000 per annum.
Main Duties (not in any order of priority): Management of the organisation: 1. Develop effective working relationships with the Partners and management of The Agency. 2. Support an open, positive and inclusive management culture. 3. Participate in the evaluation of The Agency against agreed organisational goals, as well as business and quality objectives. 4. Minimise legal risks. 5. Participate in the maintenance of the Agency’s management information systems. 6. Assist in the formulation and implementation of Care policies and procedures. 7. Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the standards required by legislation related to the registration of the Agency, and other legal requirements. 8. Act within the Agency’s budget based on the Agency’s objectives and within the projected revenue. 10. Work in a cost-effective manner. 10. Be involved in the implementation and maintenance of the Agency’s quality assurance programme. 11. Assist in the design and administration of an evaluation of the Care service provision. 12. Systematically solve day-to-day problematical issues which arise. Ensure that the Care service is delivered to Clients at the times and for the duration specified in the relevant individual agreement(s) and contract standards. 2. Ensure that the carers allocated to, and the carers attending, each Client have the relevant skills, knowledge and resources related to the opportunities and needs of that Client. 3. Ensure that each carer is introduced to the Client/Care Seeker before or at the beginning of the first visit by that care, and that the Client always knows who to expect at each visit. 4. Manage travel delays and carer shortages to mitigate to the fullest extent possible the impact on the Client, managing and minimising their distress and insecurity in such situations. 5. Assist in the development of the philosophy, goals and objectives for the Care practice. 6. Assist in the assessment of the effectiveness of Care implementation and delivery. 7. Implement action to meet and maintain Care standards. 8. Work in cooperation with members of multi-disciplinary health teams so as to maximise opportunities for the Client’s therapeutic Care. 9. Ensure that the Care service is delivered in a safe and person-centred manner. 10. Ensure that Client rights are protected. 11. Encourage a model of self-care and Client rehabilitation. 12. Evaluate Care Plans. Professional Long Term Care Leadership: 1. Encourage innovative methods for the delivery of Care. 2. Encourage health promotion within Care strategies. 3. Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth. 4. Promote a positive image for the services provided and engagement of carers within the Agency. Cooperate with the evaluation, orientation and engagement of all new carers. 2. Assist individual carers to develop in their roles 3. Support the implementation of the Agency’s policies and procedures. 4. Support the effective resolution of team conflicts. 5. Support a work atmosphere which promotes a high quality of work life. 6. Support and maintain a culture of performance and excellence. 7. Ensure that Right to Work and Identity checks are carried out on al engaged carers. 8. Ensure that clients and carers register on the website and on TempBuddy. Working hours: Monday to Friday: 9am to 5pm. 24/7 On-call duties outside these hours alternate weeks. Qualifications required: QCF Diploma Health and Social Care Level 3.
