Injection Mould Toolmaker
THE COMPANYEstablished almost 20 years in the UK with a partner company abroad, our client design, manufacture and modify injection mould tools for the automotive industry. They have a substantial client base and are well respected in the industry.
THE ROLEThe Toolmaker Role will be reporting to the Toolroom Supervisor with the overall purpose being the following:- To ensure that all new tooling adjustments are completed to a high standard in order to achieve the customer promised Off Tool Sample dates.- To manufacture & modify mould tools.- To provide support to the mould shop by ensuring all existing tooling is maintained, repaired & modified in a timely manner to enable production requirements to be met.THE IDEAL TOOLMAKER- Should be an apprentice trained/time served toolmaker and have extensive experience in the manufacture and modification of plastic injection mould tools (some mould tools will weight in excess of 10 tonnes)- Should be able to read engineering drawings and interpret.
- Will have experience fitting, bedding and polishing mould tools.- Experience of CNC and Manual machining - turning, milling, grinding, spark erosion beneficial but not essential.- Will have the knowledge of and the ability to use toolroom equipment.- To make a positive contribution to maintaining a workplace that is healthy, safe, neat and tidy
Role: ToolmakerLocation: HalifaxSalary: £22000-27000 + overtime (paid and 1 ½ )Shift: Days Regular - Mon-Thurs 7.30 - 16:00 & Friday 7.30 - 13.30
