Job Title: Content Executive
Reports to: Marketing Manager Service Area: Marketing

Location: Birmingham or Leeds or Manchester (travel to other offices in the UK as and when required)

Role Purpose:
To provide creative copywriting support within the marketing team. You will be responsible for producing quality content for online and offline sources ie: PPC adverts, social media messages, service selling web pages, content marketing, print adverts, brochures, newsletters, emails etc.

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will assist with a range of tasks to ensure successful delivery of content related projects and work closely with the PR exec to ensure that each opportunity gains the maximum coverage possible, to help drive rankings, visits and ultimately leads into the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Competitors content strategy & topics
  • Social listening to identify key or trending topics and key influencers News / tv / radio / popular culture for angles on legal related content


  • Input into overall content strategy for your area
  • Identify key themes / topics /influencers for blog or website content
  • Input into annual content calendar
  • Work with marketing manager, senior marketing exec and PR Exec to define monthly content plan


  • Optimise content strategy to ensure maximum coverage is gained
  • Sign-off process
  • Social and outreach of content to maximise coverage and engagement
  • Update content as story evolves or changes
  • Image creation to support content


  • Understand and report on what content people are engaging with to shape future content

Experience / Knowledge / Qualifications


  • Excellent copywriting skills and high level of English
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other professionals
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Ability to work using own initiative
  • Enthusiastic, creative and self-motivated
  • Ability to write content that inspires its readers to take action
  • High attention to detail
  • Passion for social media


  • Understanding of on-page Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) techniques
  • Ability to report on performance of content from an onsite and social perspective
