An exciting role has arisen with a leading planning consultancy in Manchester to join their expanding team. You will be joining an award-winning practice with a national network of offices and excellent reputation within the planning industry.

You will be dealing with a long-established client base consisting of prestigious housebuilders, private developers, land owners, commercial corporates and public sector bodies. The project work will be varied including residential, mixed-use and commercial work. As a Planner you will have regular contact with the clients and take responsibility for small-medium scale developments as well as assisting on larger scale schemes.

We are seeking MRTPI qualified candidates with some consultancy experience, ideally from the Manchester/NW market. A similar variety in project experience to the above is preferable and a good grounding in development management work is essential. Responsibilities include; planning applications and appeals; site appraisals; planning strategies; S106 negotiations; development plan representations and providing advice and guidance to clients throughout all stages of the planning process.

There is also a good progression track with this company and many of the Directors in place currently joined the firm as Planners and Senior Planners themselves, they have a very low staff turnover.
