New Product Development Manager - Market-leading Premium Brow Brand

Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 (DOE) + 20 Days Holiday + 8 Bank Holidays + Companywide Bonus + Opportunity to run with a creative and autonomous role

Office Based: South West London

The Requirements:

  • As the Product Manager you will need to have an understanding of formulations and cosmetics legislation as well has having around 3-4 years in an NPD Manager Role within colour cosmetics, skincare, hair care, nail care etc.
  • Dynamic and innovative self-starter and motivator committed to providing a 'hands on’ approach to New Product Development
  • Demonstrate outstanding commercial and analytical acumen as well as proven track record of creating, planning and implementing end-end product launches and having the ability to help achieve personal, team and company KPI targets
  • Maintaining and establishing effective working relationships with all support departments

The Role of NPD Manager:

  • As the NPD Manager you will be working with the Head of Marketing to build an exciting, comprehensive and carefully considered product strategy to promote the market-leading brand
  • Evaluating competitor activity and the wider category opportunities, being pro-active in looking for new opportunities to grow the brands products and portfolio through innovative methods ensuring that you are one step ahead of the competition
  • Managing a product development critical path process from concept to retail is a vital point for this position, you will also get involved in team discussions to brainstorm ways and opportunities to grow the brand
  • Liaising with Purchasing and Sourcing teams to ensure that product offering is commercially viable and technically achievable meeting aggressive cost, quality and logistical targets and monitoring costs and margins received from suppliers
  • Working together with key stakeholders in the business lead the forecasting process for all NPD launches
  • Carrying out day-to-day project work within the Global Marketing team, working closely and constructively with Head of Marketing, Marketing Manager, Creative Manager and E-commerce Manager on all NPD projects providing formula assessment expertise, guidance and input on performance, texture, application, functionality and shade range of new formulas
  • Researching and communicating on new ideas & trends, translating them into new relevant product concepts, themes, colour collections and emerging consumer attitudes on a quarterly basis from suppliers, trade shows and competitors
  • Understanding market trends in the colour-cosmetics, skincare, hair care, nail care, beauty accessories or similar and tailor these to individual customer needs
  • Attending trade fairs where necessary to enhance knowledge of product & market competitors
  • Analysing share data, competitive context and consumers need gaps as they affect development of brand portfolio, advising brand team on SKU evolutions, and sub-categories portfolio development
