I am recruiting for a company based in Hertford who are currently looking to recruit for a Payroll and payments assistant to start as soon as possible. The role will predominately be dealing with the payroll element, however, for the right candidate they will also look to provide you with training on Purchase Ledger. Please read on further to find out the role specifics.

Collating and preparing monthly payroll information

Processing starters, leavers and other changes to payroll as required

Processing SMP, SPP and SSP

Attachment of earnings experience

Provide pension information to 3rd party

Processing relevant payroll deductions

Hold monthly payroll review meetings with budget holders

Dealing with payroll queries in an efficient manner

Processing monthly employee expenses

All areas of Purchase Ledger function – processing of supplier invoices, reconciling of supplier statements and preparing weekly payment runs

Resolving supplier queries

Contributing to process improvement initiatives

Assisting with ad hoc requests from senior management team
