Digital Content Executive
Digital Content Executive – Norfolk - £25k pa
We have been asked to identify an outstanding Digital Content Executive for our Thetford client. The company is a major manufacturing company producing high quality furniture which is sold through its website and UK-wide network of stores.
The Digital Content Executive is a new role within the company and as such offers an excellent opportunity for the right person to influence both the role itself and the company’s digital platform profile. The successful applicant will be responsible for content creation across multiple channels for: website, blog, email and social media with an aim to enhance brand reputation and vibrancy.
The role reports directly to the E-Commerce Manager and you will assist in launching a new inspiration section on the website. Working closely with the SEO agency, you will be tasked with increasing organic search traffic year-on-year. Working closely with the web development agency, you will be expected to build website content and brief technical SEO recommendations from the SEO agency. Managing the creation of a content calendar including social, editorial and emails in line with marketing objectives will also form an important part of your role.
Your inspiring content will include articles/ blog pieces, how to guides and trend pieces. Content will be uploaded to the website using the content management system. External content will be managed in conjunction with the company’s PR agency who will also work with you on social media activity. So, it will be clear that there is very professional internal and external support available to be collated, managed and presented before you are then expected to report on content and social KPI’s i.e traffic, time on site, new customers etc using Google analytics.
The Digital Content Executive will also be responsible for managing all email communications to existing customers and possible customers, and you should be able to demonstrate your skills and achievements in this key area of communication.
Social Media is a continually moving collection of diverse platforms. What worked yesterday, may not work today, and probably won’t work tomorrow. The Digital Content executive will be continually ensuring that the company is working in the ‘tomorrow’.
To be considered for this role you will need to, first and foremost, demonstrate a passion for digital content. You will need at least 1-2 years in a similar, high level commercial digital role. You will be able to demonstrate your experience of working with a website content management system and we will want to see work that you have completed commercially in the creation of online content for blogs or email or similar. Exceptional copy writing skills to craft engaging content across relevant channels will be second nature to you and excellent spelling and grammar with strong attention to detail will be evident from your CV. The key words here are ‘commercial experience’ as this is not a role for an enthusiastic amateur or someone who simply ‘managed the website’ as part of a much wider and unrelated remit.
The role has an excellent starting salary of £25,000 per annum plus super benefits.
