Location: Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire

Salary: £40,000

Job Type: Full Time

Description:

Atlas Employment are pleased to be working with a well renowned company in Oxfordshire. You will manage a diverse team of initially 5 engineers, ensuring safe and efficient utilization of resource to provide support services to all aspects of the company’s various operational activities. Success is a function of minimal downtime and effective problem solving.

The Role:

  • Liaise with plant managers to deliver effective support
  • Priorities tasks appropriately
  • Team organization and guidance
  • Maintain stock of essential spare parts
  • Source and procurement of parts and equipment
  • Record keeping
  • Recruitment and identifying training requirements
  • Cost control and budgeting
  • Develop method statements, work instructions, risk assessments and procedures
  • Build and improve on a thorough planned preventative maintenance program
  • Provide basic training for site operatives
  • Deliver planned improvements and refurbishments

Skills Required:

  • Practical environmental and working safely knowledge
  • Experience working within a regulated environment
  • Experience working in process type industry
  • Working knowledge of variety of machines and equipment including pump systems and construction plant as well as materials handling
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Computer literate
  • Electrical competence
  • First Aid an advantage
  • Telehandler certificate an advantage
  • Confined space trained
  • Appointed Person qualification - crane operation desirable
