The Client Service Team is responsible for all aspects of our administrative relationship with clients and potential clients. The department aims to provide the highest level of service at all times. The role requires excellent product and system knowledge ensuring all activities are conducted in accordance with Compliance and departmental procedures.


  • Written and verbal Communication skills
  • An ability to effectively communicate with and engage the representatives of charitable investors
  • Working knowledge of the characteristics of the major asset classes and their appropriateness to the various circumstances of investors
  • A working knowledge of current charity and trustee law and the understanding of and empathy with the sector


  • The primary duty is to ensure we provide a high standard of service toclients and potential clients
  • Answering all client telephone enquiries effectively and promptly
  • Meeting and assisting visiting clients and potential clients
  • Ensure that clear instructions are obtained from clients where doubt exists
  • Diarising and chasing correspondence to which a reply is required
  • Checking standard letters for appropriateness and accuracy (and issuing)
  • Issue of 'non-standard’ letters
  • Maintain effective liaison with Transfer Agency Team
  • Verify signatories of instructions over a specified value
  • Tracing and dealing with 'lost’ client payments
  • Tracing and dealing with 'lost’ client correspondence
  • Chasing unpresented cheques
  • Client Relationship Management system maintenance
  • "Know Your Customer" requirements for new clients
  • Prepare Errors and Omissions forms for events originating within the team
