Direct Marketing Executive
We are recruiting a Direct Marketing Executive for a leading national charity where you will support the Direct Marketing team with the primary focus of supporting direct mailing activities (including raffles and lotteries) and shop elements of our individual fundraising programme.

This is a new position in a very busy team that offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering income growth.
To provide support for the day-to-day elements of direct marketing campaigns e.g. monitoring the teams campaign plan and ensuring activities are on track, resolving issues and escalating where appropriate; ensuring up-to-date computerised and manual records are kept of the teams campaigns.
Coordinating the internal review process, including copy checking and proofing support to ensure materials are of a high standard; coordinating review panel comments.
Project management of the production of the charitys newsletter twice a year including being a part of planning meetings, creating and monitoring schedules and coordinating print and production.
Researching content and images for new appeals and newsletters.
Maintain excellent working relationships with both internal and external suppliers such as print/mailing suppliers, fulfilment houses and merchandise suppliers.
Procuring competitive quotes for our Direct Marketing mailings to ensure best value.
Providing briefing documents for Supporter Services.
Provide high-quality personalised responses to supporters.
To ensure that any complaints or enquiries for information are dealt with in a sensitive and timely manner in line with the charitys policy.
Use of the fundraising database (Raisers Edge) to record interactions with supporters.
This exciting opportunity would suit someone looking to develop a direct marketing career in the charity sector. You will learn about direct marketing processes and donor communication while providing some administrative support for the team.
A minimum of 1 years experience in a similar or related role.
Experience of using a database (preferably Raisers Edge)
Experience of cross departmental / organisational working
Experience of working with outside agencies
Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
Good level of computer literacy particularly Excel, but also Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
Good organisational, project and time management skills
Experience of writing copy
