Staff Nurse Preceptorship
The role requires a Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse or Learning Disability Nurse for an independent hospital for up to 16 residents living with learning disabilities, with associated complex needs and behaviours which are perceived as challenging to the service.
The role is full-time (40hrs), with a variety of shifts and they offer a competitive pay rate of up to £28,329.60 for a staff nurse and they are accepting candidates seeking preceptorship. They also include these additional benefits:

You will have a unique opportunity to get to know our service users in-depth before they take the next step in their care pathway. Your contribution will enable you to observe progress, sometimes working with service users who challenge, while developing your own specialist skills alongside training courses tailored to your personal development.
The hospital service is in Hexham and it provides assessment and intervention for people who are living with learning disabilities, associated complex needs, mental health problems and behaviours that challenge services. People who use the service may be admitted directly from the community or be stepping down from a more restrictive setting. The service also caters to those who are detained under the Mental Health Act.
This service provides a care pathway from the main hospital to a service which focuses and promotes greater independence in preparation for moving on to either a residential or a supported living setting.
