About the Team

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Creative Operations team in a varied role supporting and managing the team who are involved in the design and development of our Next Directory, Publications and imagery. You'll work with a variety of internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of services.

About the Commercial Operations Controller role:

You will:

  • Take on a key roles within the Creative Operations teams to ensure the smooth operation and delivery of vital projects for the department.
  • Be involved from initial brief to final handover on a variety of projects including producing our Next Directory publications through to supplying imagery for next.co.uk.
  • Work to identify opportunities for continual improvement.
  • Communicate clearly and confidently, using your understanding of the business to co-ordinate and bring together processes to ensure a timely and smooth launch of publications.
  • Manage and develop a team dealing with the day to day hands on management of this process whilst influencing other key areas within the business such as our product and ecommerce departments.

The idealOperations Controller:

About you

  • Previous experience working in a similar role such as project management.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Packages particularly Excel and ideally have experience of Mac operating systems including Adobe Indesign (desirable but not essential).
  • Team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
  • Self motivated with the ability to work in a fast paced environment and ensure critical deadlines are met.
  • Possess strong attention to detail.
  • Take a positive and flexible approach to your work.
