Experienced practice accounts assistant job with small friendly accountancy practice in Poole/Bournemouth area

Your new firm
You will be working for a small and well-respected firm of accountants with high standards of client care. Their core business starts with providing their clients with a 'Virtual Accounts Office' so that they can outsource their entire accounts operations and focus on what they do best. They provide a fully managed service and in effect, they work as an extension of their client's business as part of their team - almost as if they were in the office next door! In addition, they provide a range of back office support services to our clients.
The client base includes international companies, and businesses with multi million pound revenues.

Your new role
Working under the guidance of a manager, the Accounts Assistant will be responsible for client bookkeeping, management accounts and preparation of accounts to review stage for a portfolio of clients, mostly Limited Companies. Responsibility will also include payroll processing.
You will be regularly using the following software packages as part of your duties: Xero Cloud accounting software (essential), Sage 50 Accounts (essential) and CCH Central, Practice Management, (preferred).

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced accounts technician and will have current experience working in an accountancy practice dealing with business clients and will be proficient in preparing accounts to trial balance. Ideally you will be AAT qualified or ACCA part qualified, although candidates who are qualified by their experience may apply and will be equally considered.
The firm is a business embracing Digital Transformation so they need a forward thinking individual with love of new technology and its capability in the context of accounts reporting and they should ideally have strong experience in using Xero cloud software and add-on's.
Experience of working in an accountancy practice is a "must" for this position.
