Reporting to the FP&A Manager, this role is responsible for supporting the development of the Group's budgeting / forecasting process and system and the provision of financial analysis to the business

The FP&A team has the opportunity to build a number of new processes and improve existing ones to reflect and adapt to the organisation's changes and growth. This will include;

  • The continued exploitation of the Epicor system, including a budgeting and forecasting module and a new cash flow forecasting process.
  • The development of capabilities and processes to increase and broaden the level of value adding analytical support, insight and challenge to all areas of the business

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Management Accountant with the production of detailed budgets and reforecasts for the Departments, business segments and consolidation to a Group level
  • Assisting the Management Accountant in the generation of periodic reporting and analysis of the financial performance of the Departments, business segments and the Group
  • Be a key point of contact for departmental and other business colleagues in dealing with financial performance or forecasting queries and requests, utilising these interactions to widen business engagement, knowledge and to inform further developments of changes to activities, processes or systems
  • Undertake high quality analysis, fully utilising general IT and system skills to improve the quality and timeliness of production
  • Developing sufficient expertise in the financial planning and reporting systems to effectively leverage their capabilities to advance their use by FP&A
  • Such other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, as may be assigned by the Group Financial Controller, Head of FP&A or the Management Accountant


  • Graduate; or equivalent by relevant accountancy and financial or commercial analysis work experience
  • Commitment to accountancy training / qualification (commencing or on-going)
  • Excellent IT skills including advanced knowledge of Excel, data manipulation
  • High level oral, written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Displays a professional attitude towards colleagues
  • Demonstrates initiative and the ability to use judgement when appropriate

Job Offer

Basic salary between £23000 and £26000 depending on experience CIMA study support Excellent benefits package
