Supported Accommodation Manager - Young Adults 16-25 yr olds - Northants
We are working in partnership with an established East Midlands care provider to source a Supported Accommodation Manager for a service that works with young adults aged 16-25 years of age in the Northamptonshire area.
This is an opportunity for a competent manager with extensive experience of working with young adults whom have been through the care system and are now working towards independent living.
We are looking for a home manager that can display knowledge of working within relevant Ofsted guidelines and can showcase a track record of achieving positive outcomes for the young people they have worked with. It is essential to be considered that you have worked with young adults 16+ and had direct experience of transitioning young people into leaving care services or independent living.
This is an existing provision which is based on the outskirts of Northampton, it is a short drive from central Northampton. The company is a Regional specialist with several residential childcare provisions throughout the Midlands, they are very focused on achieving positive outcomes for the young people they work with and have excellent relationships with relevant placing authorities throughout the region.
You would be expected to;
- Ensure that all of the individual’s needs are met, and each individual has a tailored support plan which reflects their needs.
- Adhere to the standards set in the Statement of Purpose and Fundamental Standards.
- To work within the boundaries of the Mental Capacity Act.
- Ensure the service is person centred and that support staff are maintaining good quality choice
- Lead and manage the staff team ensuring company policies and outstanding levels of care are delivered.
You will have had previous experience working with young adults and have a good knowledge of Ofsted frameworks and children home regulations.
You will need to be able to evidence direct supervisory experience of working in residential settings with young people / young adults. You may have enrolled or completed the level 5 qualification in leadership and management, as a minimum you must have completed level 3 children and young people workforce.
This is a full-time position working Monday - Friday, applications are subject to satisfactory DBS and reference checks.
The salary for the Supported Accommodation home manager position is between £25 & 30k per annum.
