This permanent Purchase Ledger Clerk job is working for one of our Spalding based clients.
Reporting into the Accounts Manager, the purpose of the job will be to provide support across the purchase ledger and cover other areas within accounts, for the business.

• Matching Purchase Orders with supplier invoices
• Entering invoices to computer purchase ledger system
• Obtaining the correct authorisation of invoices
• Dealing with query invoices
• Processing employee expense claims
• Coding and posting invoices onto the Accounts Payable Ledger
• Prompt payment of discount and service invoices
• Reconciliation of the Accounts Payable against supplier statements
• Processing cheques (both manual and automatic) and international payments
• Month end - running reports, reconciling the ledger, and closing down the ledger once agreed
• Allocating consignment numbers to charges invoices
• Receiving authorising invoices and filing in supplier files
• Receiving and logging overhead invoices and matching to purchase orders
• Adding nominal ledger codes and passing to management
• Review supplier statements regularly and reconcile to purchase ledger resolving any queries

Who you’ll be working for

Who we’re looking for
• You must have excellent MS Excel skills, including the ability to set up your own spreadsheets
• You must have prior accounts experience in Purchase Ledger
