Essential

  • Good knowledge of Construction industry, products and systems relevant to areas of responsibility, including manufacturing and installation processes used in building products sector and their application on site.

Main Duties/Responsibilities

Management Duties

  • Manage Technical Assessors, including setting objectives, 1 to 1 meetings, performance appraisals, expenses, holiday approval etc.
  • Manage day to day ongoing in the team in respect of workloads, KPI’s, SLA, Targets and Objectives.
  • Work closely with Administration Team on Scheme targets and issuing of work
  • Ensure that direct reports and contractors fulfil their job descriptions and work effectively and efficiently.
  • Assist the Head of Audit and Inspection in ensuring the delivery of individual and team performance objectives.
  • Identify learning, development and training requirements for direct reports and work with Technical Support Trainer to develop these.
  • Undertake or assist in the resolution of disciplinary, grievance and other staff-related investigations.
  • Provide guidance to direct reports on non-compliant reports.
  • Complete calibration visits both person and equipment with direct reports within your field of competence.
  • Provide technical and contractual advice and expertise when required
  • Assess existing site installations or installations in progress

Purpose of Job

The main purpose of the Audit Team Manager is to assist the Head of Audit and Inspection in delivering directorate/team budgets through the management of Technical Assessors, analysing and reporting information and giving technical support when required. The job holder will be expected to manage the day to day activities of their direct reports ensuring that they are working effectively and efficiently and highlighting any performance or training requirements. You will be required to work closely with the Administration team and our Technical Support. On occasion you will also be expected to carry out assessments as well as report on factory production control ensuring compliance with pre-identified requirements.
