Work Relief Charity Recruitment is recruiting for a Surrey based charity specialising providing a range of housing, relationship and employment support programmes to clients who have experienced substance misuse and/or mental health issues.

We are looking to recruit a Senior Support Worker / Team Leader to work in Camberley and surrounding areas in Surrey to ensure clients achieve and maintain their health and wellbeing through effective team leadership and service management.

Full Time, Permanent

£24,000 - £26,000 per annum on experience.

Ability to work rotas, access to own transport essential as is willingness to travel across the area.

Expenses will be reimbursed

Key duties will include:

  • Support clients to achieve and maintain health and wellbeing
  • Responsible for some of the day to day running of the business
  • Ensuring the safe and effective delivery of services.
  • First point of contact for staff, clients and some customers
  • Manage day to day issues and supporting colleagues in terms of providing good support
  • Ensure the rotas are up to date and staff feedback is completed to a high standard
  • Take part in the production of all necessary reporting

This is a super role within the charity which will inevitably lead to the successful candidate developing their career within the sector. We see this as an ideal role for an experienced Support Worker / Outreach Worker / Community Worker / Healthcare Professional / Project Manager (or co-ordinator) or other experienced person providing support services in a social care or health setting.

The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:

  • Minimum NVQ 2 or equivalent in health & Social care. Relevant related Qualification
  • Background in mental health drug and/or alcohol
  • Experience in attendance of professionals meetings.
  • Experience in a relevant role, which should ideally include working with clients with complex support needs
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the issues and needs of vulnerable client groups
  • Ability to work flexibly and to be willing to travel throughout Guildford & surrounds
