The Royal College of General Practitioners is the largest membership organisation solely for GPs in the United Kingdom. Founded in 1952, it has over 51,000 members who are committed to improving patient care, developing their own skills and promoting general practice as a discipline. General practice is the largest branch of the medical profession. It provides some 1 million consultations for patients in the UK every working day and deals with 86% of the health problems experienced by the UK population. RCGP Northern Ireland requires an Administrator to join its dynamic team.
The role involves supporting the work of the Chair of RCGPNI, including diary management, travel arrangements and administrative support. As the main point of contact on all queries relating to this position the ability to respond efficiently and professionally is essential.
In addition, this position also provides adhoc administrative support to the Manager of RCGPNI, co-ordinates RCGP representatives on committees and has responsibility for all travel arrangements and general office procurement.
The successful candidate will have a good standard of education, with excellent written and oral communication skills. The proven ability to work off own initiative, as well as part of a busy team is essential as is the use of IT packages.
