A large listed professional services business is seeking an ambitious Group Reporting Accountant with strong technical and plc reporting experience. The role will initially be an FTC for 12-15 months with a possibility of conversion to Permanent position. Successful candidate should be self-starter, innovative with good communication skills and able to work under tighter half year and year-end deadlines.

Main responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Preparing Group consolidated annual and interim accounts under IFRS;
  • Preparing international subsidiaries statutory accounts under local GAAPs;
  • Leading monthly consolidation using Business Panning & Consolidation system (BPC) to produce the Group's consolidated reports and subsidiary trial balances;
  • One of the key contacts to PwC UK and overseas teams for the Group and subsidiaries audits;
  • Leading the half year and year-end timetables; planning and coordinating Group annual audit and half year work with external auditors and internal teams to ensure agreed reporting deadlines are met;
  • Reconciliation of Group's equity accounts on a monthly basis and preparation of primary financial statements;
  • Preparing Group's cash flow forecasts;
  • Maintaining Group's various foreign exchange rates;
  • Performing banking covenants tests for the half year and year-end;
  • Improving and streamlining reporting procedures;
  • Managing internal and external contacts (e.g. audit, tax, treasury, GL, company secretarial and other support functions);
  • Completing periodic tasks to the strict Group timetable (including enhanced monthly /quarterly report requirements);

To be successful, you will need:
  • ACA or ACCA qualified preferably from a Big 6 firm with 2-3 years PQE;
  • Previous PLC reporting experience and IFRS working knowledge is must;
  • Knowledge of local GAAPs for European and AsiaPac subsidiaries is desirable but not essential;
  • Person will need to be available to join preferably by early to mid-April;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and reporting writing skills with attention to detail and an ability to challenge;
  • Strong project and people management skills with proven track record of delivery under tight deadlines;
  • Ability to build positive working relationships across the business;
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team;
  • Ability to prioritise the workload and ensure tasks are completed on time with minimal supervision;
  • SAP and BPC knowledge would be desirable (desirable);
