A vibrant, award-winning life and health insurance provider has created a brand new role within their marketing team for a Head of Content. The role will involve taking both strategic and creative ownership of a multi-channel content programme. Reporting directly into the Head of Brand, this is a senior leadership role, requiring a candidate with experience in a senior content marketing role, capable of driving commercial success through insight-led content strategy.
-Overseeing best-in-class content for the company's 3 main audiences; consumers, intermediaries and employers.
-Working with the company's communications specialists, including PR, ATL, social and sponsorship, ensuring that content adds value to the business across all channels and holds a defined, strategic purpose.
-Working closely alongside external partner agencies across advertising, content, sport and e-CRM.
-Taking full accountability of the success of content strategy, continually measuring and driving quality and best-practice.
-Seeking insight from actuarial partners to identify economic trends which will inform the content strategy and enable correct customer segmentation.
-Central responsibility for delivering content which will position the brand as one that not only offers an insurance service, but as a thought leader in helping customers become healthier and more active.
The successful candidate:
-Experience of working in a senior level, content-driven marketing role, building successful brands and with extensive stakeholder liaison.
-You will understand the real value of content marketing in the communications mix, with proven experience of using content to acquire and retain customers.
-You will enjoy the creative process and working alongside creative agencies.
-You can write a great brief, act as a smart brand-guardian and a wise judge of creative work.
-You have a strong understanding of the alchemy of channels and media in an outstanding content programme. You can put together a winning distribution strategy, disseminating and amplifying content to ensure it get optimal views. You will also be interested in the rapid evolution of social platforms and communities.
-This role spans many teams and specialists within the business and will have a tactful, persuasive and collegiate approach, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues.
-You will have experience in using content to position a brand as a thought leader in their market, and are able to turn complex product into interesting content for a non-expert audience.
