Business Development Manager / Area Sales Manager

A Business Development Sales Manager is required within The Lake District / Cumbria,for a leading Motor Factor / Parts Distributor.

Ideal location – Lake District, Cumbria, Scottish Border, Lancaster

Kendall, Keswick, Penrith, Workington, Barrow in Furness, Whitehaven- Carlisle

Circa £30k Basic + Car + Benefits

Due to continued and exceptional growth an opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager to develop existing accounts, find sales leads and develop new sales for a multi-million pound turnover business.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will be responsible selling automotive parts, consumables, garage equipment and diagnostics.

They require an individual who will develop existing accounts, find leads and develop new business.

  • Have experience selling to garages, workshops and vehicle repairers.
  • Think outside the normal constraints of a Motor Factor.
  • Be organised, know where you are going and what you are going to achieve.
  • Understand parts distribution.

  • Friendly communicator with customers and colleagues.
  • PC literacy.

The Role

  • Grow business and relationships with new and existing business.
  • Make promotions a success.
  • Understand the requirements of the decision makers.
  • Get products in front of customers and sell.
  • Structure a cost effective journey and call plan.
  • Involvement with trade shows and work-outs.
  • Full product training will be given to successful candidate including structured training courses.
