We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant for a growing organisation based in the Derbyshire Dales the company is easily commutable from Matlock, Bakewell, Buxton or Chesterfield.
The successful applicant will be working within a busy Finance team, this is a varied role.
Responsibilities will include:
- Purchase Ledger processing
- Statement reconciliation and contacting suppliers with regards to any queries
- Payment runs
- Sales Ledger processing
- Allocation of cash to both Sales & Purchase Ledger accounts
- Chasing all outstanding debt
- Dealing with company credit cards
- Reconciliation of Bank Accounts
- Assist with Nominal ledger reconciliation
- Processing of VAT returns
- General accounts administration duties including answering the telephone, filing, photocopying
- Assisting Accounts Manager and Accounts Supervisor with any ad-hoc duties
Key skills and attributes:
- Previous experience working within Accounts is essential
- Computer Literate including a good working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and the Internet
- Confident communicator
- Ability to work in a busy environment
- Logical and accurate with a keen eye for detail
- Punctual, reliable and conscientious
- Enjoy working as a team, but also be able to work under your own initiative
