A Finance & Compliance Manager job in a Sheffield City Centre based not-for-profit company paying c.£37,000.

Your new company
Based in Sheffield city centre, this not-for-profit company is looking for an experienced, qualified finance and compliance manager. Your new company is open to both full time and part time options in order to offer the best possible working environment. This is further compounded by flexible working hours between 8am and 6pm and an easily accessible city centre location with parking onsite. Your new company is forward thinking in their approach and looking to recruit a similarly minded Finance and Compliance Manager into the company.

Your new role
Reporting directly into the Managing Director you will have two direct and two indirect reports. You role will be to oversee the overall management accounts function as well as develop and operate robust finance management systems. Furthermore you will prepare key financial and management information to facilitate the decision making process and preparation of reports for Board. Other responsibilities include:

  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Risk mitigation, Risk compliance and management
  • Manage all contract, grant and partnership agreements
  • Prepare statutory accounts and relevant documentation for the annual audit
  • Effective financial control and effective financial planning throughout the company
  • Responsible for the company's pension scheme,
  • Compliance with information governance and information security requirements
  • Lead on all aspects of contracts, grants and partnership agreements.


What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in your application you should hold a Professional Accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) ; have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written; and experience of managing a finance department or team and preparing management accounts. Furthermore knowledge of relevant data protection legislation, information security standards will also be required.

What you'll get in return
In return for a full working week you will receive a salary in the region of £37,000 dependent on experience. You will also benefit from flexible working hours between 8am and 6pm, 25 days holiday plus statutory days, as well as pension and other benefits. If you wish to work on a part-time basis this will also be considered to a minimum of 30 hours per week, and your salary would be pro-rata.
