A fantastic opportunity has arisen in the Warrington area for a Head Chef with outstanding credentials to lead the kitchen team and food operation at one of the area's leading hotels. Serving fully fresh locally sourced food, to Rosette level, in a great location - This opportunity is one not to be missed.

Due to expansion of the business and some internal promotions, the Hotel need a new Head Chef to help lead the team in this busy yet very high quality kitchen.

You will report directly into a very experienced and talented company Executive Head Chef and General Manager in order to help lead a team to deliver excellence across the board. You will be in charge of a large brigade of Chefs serving the multi-rosette standard restaurant, overseeing the separate banqueting kitchen which caters for weddings all year round and have menu autonomy alongside the Executive Chef - You will be able to maintain the Rosette standards the site currently operates at, while pleasing and astonishing guests at the same time.

As the Head Chef you will be fully responsible for the kitchen team and be able to manage and motivate effectively. This beautiful hotel holds lots of weddings and functions so extensive experience in conference and banqueting is a must. However the a la carte dining room is still very busy with locals and residents, so a busy and bustling service is a day to day occurrence. Having experience in training junior members of the team will be highly advantageous also as this venue is all about progression and helping the team progress, something you will have a key hand in.

You will be a natural leader, and get a real kick out of coaching and developing your team, leading them on to even greater success. The food you will be developing should be of award winning Rosette standard so a background from similar establishments will be very favourable but isn't essential. This is not an office-based role so you will need to enjoy being a hands-on leader winning friends and influencing at the coalface.

Some of your time may be spent office based so you will need to be tech-savvy to an extent and able to use up-to-date software packages for the likes of ordering, GP control and team rostering. Very strong Microsoft excel skills will be a must. You will need an organised and consultative approach, able to develop the already solid team around you to support in all things from suppliers and menu creation to running events and managing both top and bottom line - All the while, keeping customer satisfaction as your yardstick.

You should be a Chef's Chef, in having great cooking skills and ideas as well as being able to lead and direct a team under pressure - You should be approachable, able to get on well with and encourage people of all levels at the same time as having the hands on skills in ALL areas of the kitchen to step up and point your brigade in the right direction when the need arises.

Finally the culture here is really key to the success of the operation - As such, you should be an incredible leader, motivator, trainer, coach and manager of people. You should hold your teams' progression as paramount to their continued growth as a team and as individuals, which can only help the business to thrive.

In return for all your hard work and dedication, you will be rewarded with a salary of circa £38,000 as well as a lots of other company benefits - They may also be able to provide a short term live in should it be needed for relocation.
